The icelandic vulcano forced us to take new supply routes!

Its first eruption delayed our JIT-managed deliveries for incoming goods all of 3 weeks. Nowadays JIT (just-in-time) is applied by all major companies. But 3 weeks... that's how long it took to work through all the goods accumulated at the various airports after the ash concentration in the air was declared non-threatening to planes.

Right before airshipping our goods the vulcano errupted anew. So now what? Again goods start accumulating at the international airports...
We decided to cross the t's and dot the i's - meaning we chartered a container and now the goods are on board a Hamburg-bound ship. Delivery of goods at our warehouse is expected in the 2nd week of June. So we now are independet on how long or how many more times the Iceland vulcano is hindering air traffic.
